Technical Sales Representative, Downhole MWD/LWD and PIG Battery Solutions

 

Position Overview 

Southwest Electronic Energy (SWE), a pioneer in advanced industrial battery solutions is seeking a proven Technical Sales Representative who is likable, high energy and enthusiastic to sell our Downhole MWD/LWD and PIG Battery product lines. his exciting position reports to the Sales Manager and requires prior success in the sale of technology, authoring business proposals, crafting contract negotiations and working with internal teams to fulfill customer orders.  

SWE’s primary lithium batteries are a mainstay for MWD/LWD applications at many of the largest oilfield service companies in the world as well as some of the newest. Our long lasting customer relationships have been built on a premier reputation for service, quality and reliability and personal connection.   SWE's core competency drives its business philosophy to design and build advanced battery solutions with the latest technology, higher quality and faster turnarounds backed by outstanding service and support.

Duties and Responsibilities

Outbound

o   Develops and grows the business: Compiles customer prospects/sales leads from periodicals, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, internet web sites and other sources.   Creates account plans.

o   Builds customer relationships: Cold calls on prospective accounts, develops rapport with key decision makers in management, engineering and purchasing and has a rhythm of visit repetition.    

o   Gets the order: ells to the SWE value proposition, understands the competitive environment, works issues and closes the sale.  Pulls-in suppliers as needed to establish an optimal partnership.

o   Customer use case expert: nderstands customer use case, use profiles and pain points.  Assesses changes to customer’s needs.  

o   Product expert: The SWE authority in the presentation and demo’ing of SWE battery products and battery technologies to MWD/LWD and PIG customers and during trade shows to develop leads. 

o   Practices service excellence: Investigates and resolves customer problems within ISO 9001 quality procedures utilizing appropriate SWE support staff  

 

Inbound

o   Sales administration: ble to turn-off the outbound persona and turn-on the internal order- fulfillment process persona. Enters up to date lead status.  Superb team player with SWE customer project administrators, procurement and engineers in pleasing the customer. 

o   Financial awareness: nderstands and supports SWE pricing policies.  Knows product gross profit margins and the role they play in pricing.

Sales Manager alignment: onfers with the sales manager to review account progress, industry factors and risks/impacts to business objectives.

 

Key Skills, Qualifications, Education and Experience

·         Education:  Bachelor’s degree in a technical related field

·         Experience: 

o   5 – 10 years technical sales experience

o   Technical understanding of the Oilfield Services Market (MWD/LWD) and battery technology is desirable or come with a passion to learn.   

o   Large account contract negotiations and procurement processes.

o   Microsoft Office proficient:  Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Sales Pipelinesales.com
